GUIDELINE ON FORMATS RELATED TO THE COMENIUS
1. IMAGES: Our webmistress has a converter so all formats are welcomed since they will be appropriately converted depending on the needs.
HOWEVER, as for LOGOS, all logos must be handed in with a good resolution (621 x 240 pixels) they have to be transparent and with vectorial format (photoshop does vectorial format when in doubt). It is also important to consider the fact that the logo should include colours that can be used either on a black background (i.e. webpage) or a white background (i.e. documents).
2. DOCUMENTS: In order to avoid problems related to Microsoft Versions (97, 2000, 2007, 2010, etc), all documents must be uploaded as a pdf format (that means that if we have a word document, for example, it will be necessary to convert it into a pdf by means of the ACROBAT READER software). Be careful with POWERPOINTS because depending on the version of the software you are using, it will be difficult to reproduce them with another software (i.e. openoffice), so it’s always advisable to upload them twice (one in the powerpoint format and the other in the pdf format).
3. VIDEOS: Each video must be uploaded to YOUTUBE by the country that has prepared it, and attached to your country’s blog, in case you want it to appear in the gallery on the main website, it must be sent to me so that I can tell our webmistress.
4. BLOGS: Each country can use the page they are confident with (blogger, wordpress, etc). In case of doubt/ lack of experience, it is advisable to start using BLOGGER since it is user-friendly, intuitive and guides you through the process. Remember to send me again the links so that they can be attached to our Comenius website.
