The Comenius Project entitled "The Time Machine" consists on a series of travels to the past, the present and the future. Through these travels, the students will learn the common past of the participant countries, the influence of the past on the present and the possible future consequences of present behaviours. This project presents a cultural twinning through which participants will learn different historic, literary, scientific and artistic aspects in an original and creative way. Each participant country will choose a relevant period of time in the past or the future and they have to transform the educational community to this specific period of time. Then they have to compare it to nowadays explaining its present influence.

The study visits are a key aspect in this project since students will have the chance to travel to other countries and also to different periods of time. Moreover, they will share the projects and activities that students have done. In this visits, students will be divided into “Time Ambassadors” and “Time Explorers”. The former will be the host students and they will be in charge of welcoming visitors and presenting the results of their projects, whereas the latter will be in charge of participating in all proposed activities and then they have to communicate the results and experiences about the study visit to their partners back home.

  • The project highlights common European experiences, thereby fostering a common European spirit in the group. As a living history project, it gives a chance to a more playful access to history and knowledge in general and to the development of the spirit of cooperation and participating the students' cultural background by getting involved in the project.
Additionally, project encourages the use of foreign languages and computers, the contact with people of different nationalities in their own educational environment by giving the opportunity to share the current school reality.
